If you’re reading this, then you have officially shown more interest in this website than I ever expected anybody would. Gold star for you!

It even says ‘GOLD STAR’ on it in case you forget what it is. That’s the kind of elite-tier customer service that you can expect here at goodthanks.org.

Anyway, I feel like I should explain why I’m starting a blog in the year 2026. There are a few main reasons:

Social media sucks, and I feel that really embarrassing desire to express myself. I have more to say on that but that’s a whole post in and of itself.

I want to document my thoughts/feelings/goals etc throughout the years. It’d be cool to look back on this post in 2036 and cringe over how much of a shithead I was. But if 2036 Josh IS reading this, then… don’t you have anything better to do? You’re almost 40, bro. Grow up.

I plan to actually have things worth sharing soon. This website would be a good way I can share stuff without feeling like I’m shoving it in peoples faces. Plus, it’s somewhere away from the prying eyes of ‘Daddy Zuckerberg’ and his ilk.

I probably forgot some other clever things I wanted to say, but that’s okay. I’ve gotta end the blog somewhere. Anyways, enjoy that gold star. They don’t just give those things out to anybody, y’know.

Salutations (as the kids say).
